the horse in film - the effect of budgets

Some examples of the effects of budgets: (the horse you get in film depends on the horse you pay for)

Great acting or the real thing?

The Silver Stallion (with real palomino stallion and real wild brumbies - oh, all right, and the real Russell Crowe. But it was before he was really, really famous )
                   - budget: some $60 million
Clash of the Titans (the original - not that CGI remake - with stop-animation, slightly jerky flying horse Pegasus)
                   - budget: around $16 million
Monty Python and the Holy Grail (with Python actors prancing and a man banging coconuts together)
                   - budget: reputedly less  than £150,000.
